As a Service Manager, you are a valued member of our team, and your
Essential Duties:
Monitor performance vs. budget on daily basis
Monitor and maintain efficiency and productivity goals
Review financial performance with upper management on a monthly basis.
Develop strategies for improving and maintaining departmental profitability
Responsible for reconciling service related general ledger accounts,...cash, sublet, warranty, etc.
Customer Satisfaction:
Interface with customers as necessary to provide the best level of service available and resolve customer disputes.
Ensure best in class customer service from the Service Advisors
Responsible for addressing Customer Surveys, and exceeding OEM targets
Meet with the best customers at their place of business
Operations Management:
Ensure that proper procedures are being followed and correct policies are in place to meet customer, OEM requirements, and Nextran requirements.
Interact with appropriate manufacturer's personnel to ensure outstanding customer service and to ensure proper procedures are being followed by dealer personnel
Ensure a safe and clean working environment
Monitor warranty operation
Employee Management:
Recruit, hire, develop and manage service department personnel.
Ensure technicians are certified and necessary training classes are scheduled.
Address complaints and resolve personnel issues in accordance with established Nextran policies.
Other duties, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum seven years heavy duty truck mechanical experience
Three to five years of supervisory experience
Verbal and written communication skills necessary for communicating with customers, management, employees and vendors
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand financial information as it pertains to dealership operations
High School Diploma-College or Technical training preferred but not mandatory
Valid CDL license, not required, but preferred
